Penile Cancer Diagnosis
Penile cancer can be difficult to detect at first. It may look like a painless bump on the skin, wart or sore. That’s why seeing a urologist — a doctor who specializes in diseases of the male genitals — is key.
Our knowledgeable urologists carefully evaluate your symptoms and perform tests to provide a complete and timely diagnosis. In many cases, your doctor will numb the area and take a small sample of the growth to check for cancer cells. You may also need follow-up imaging tests, such as MRI or CT scans.

Penile cancer may be one of several types. Squamous cell carcinoma is the most common type of penile cancer.
