Pratik Patel, MD

I am a cardiologist at Memorial Healthcare System with specialization in advanced cardiovascular imaging including cardiac CT and cardiac MRI. I treat patients with coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, pericardial disease and cardiomyopathies. 

From a very young age, I loved science and working with people. Becoming a physician allowed me to integrate these two passions into a career. I enjoyed learning about the pathophysiology of the heart in medical school. I love the challenge of identifying the cause of a patient's symptoms, implementing a treatment plan and helping patients live a better quality of life.

I am also passionate about cardiac imaging. I enjoy looking at images of the heart and trying to identify what may be causing a patient's heart-related symptoms. This inspired me to do an additional, dedicated year of training at the National Institutes of Health in advanced cardiovascular imaging.

I like to be thorough in understanding patient's symptoms and comprehensive in doing cardiac testing to try to find the root cause of their symptoms. I’m also honest with patients when discussing their diagnosis and treatment plans.
